MCM London ComicCon 2026

Last week, I attended the MCM London Comic Con as an exhibitor. I'd gone the year before as a regular attendee, and really enjoyed it. At my wonderful wife's encouragement, I decided to try my hand at being an exhibitor this year. The con accepted my submission, and I spent most of the summer getting everything ready. It was pretty stressful (and expensive! Lot's of initial purchases that I can thankfully re-use), but the experience was amazing.

To say that I met some incredible people is an understatement. People like fellow author Mark Stay, who gave me a lot of really great advice and insight into his many years of experience were incredibly helpful. Others like Martin and Percy took time out of their day of sightseeing just to swing by and chat and make sure I was all right. People from online communities like imgur and Royal Road stopped by to say hello and mention when and how they found my work online. And there were also just a ton of random people from all walks of life who paused at my booth to ask about my books.
It's really amazing to me that at a con as big as MCM,with the biggest names in geekdom (Star Wars, Critical Role, Marvel, etc), people stopped to see my little booth and spend their limited time and money on my work. It meant so much, and to everybody who stopped by, thank you. Even if you didn't get a book! It was still really cool to just talk about nerdy stuff with total strangers in-person.
I really do hope I can do it again sometime. This year was such a flurry of panicked activity that I didn't mention it ahead of time on here, but next year I'll try to be better about updating stuff. So if you're in London next October, I hope to see you at the Excel London!
